On this day in history, June 8th, Frank Lloyd Wright was born

On June 8, 1867, the world renown architect, Frank Lloyd Wright was born.  Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, educator, interior designer and author, who created over 500 works.  His style and thematic elements in his architecture promoted organic architecture which can be seen in Falling Water and Graycliff.

He was a leader in the Prairie School movement of architecture as seen in the Westcott House, Darwin D. Martin House, and the Robie House

He created many innovative examples of many different building types, including offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, museums, and more. Wright also often designed many of the interior elements of his buildings, such as the furniture and stained glass.
